Report

It was raining goals at Amblecote as the Glassboys chalked up their biggest win of the season against Truro City. Even though they missed a first half penalty, Stourbridge still found the net seven times. The visitors endured a torrid afternoon but kept going to score two late consolation goals but that could not disguise the fact they had been well and truly beaten.

Sam Rock got the Glassboys on the road to victory on 14 minutes turning home an Aaron Drake cross. Ryan Rowe got in on the act on 31 minutes with a smart turn and shot to record his first of three goals. Linden Dovey was fouled on 37 minutes but then missed the resulting penalty. Four minutes later, this was made irrelevant as Rowe fired home a fine goal from an acute angle to put Stour three up.

Any hope Truro might have had of Stourbridge easing up in the second period were well and truly dashed as the Glassboys continued their fine play, adding three more goals without reply.

Firstly, Linden Dovey had a shot deflected in on 51 minutes. Ben Billingham got on the score sheet on 61 minutes and Rowe completed a fine hat-trick on 75 minutes with a close range effort.

Truro did find the net on 82 minutes but Stourbridge added another two minutes later when Dovey scored with a lob over the keeper. Truro did score the last goal of the game on 88 minutes but left the field soundly beaten by a Stourbridge outfit who had been in inspirational form throughout.
